Recently, Jean-Bosco a PhD student from Burkina Faso arrived in Würzburg. He is a WASCAL student in the “Climate Change and Land Use” program at the Kwame Nkrumah University for Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, Ghana. During his stay here in Würzburg he wants to improve his Remote Sensing skill overall and to develop specific skills on how to assess vegetation response to rainfall variability and land use / cover change in the south-west of Burkina Faso. In his case this includes the pre processing and analysis of MODIS NDVI time series using TiSeG and TIMESAT.
